International Children’s Camp “Sources of Tolerance” took place in Georgia

We learn on the mistakes of the past.
We are today and we are tomorrow!
(Extract from the diary of the camp participant)

Camp “Sources of Tolerance” is based on unique methodology of living through cultures of each other. After the decade of the successful action in Ukraine and Moldova “Sources of Tolerance” reached Caucasus.

Camp is organized by the Eurasian Jewish Congress and Analytical Center for Interethnic Cooperation and Consultations under aegis of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Georgia and with support of 10 ethnic minority communities of Georgia.

Camp gathered together 1/4 children and 30 educators from Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, Moldova, Belarus and Russian Federation.

Each of 10 days of the camp was lived by the whole camp family as day of one of the communities’ culture.

Starting from morning meals and up to evening concert children and adults celebrated together beauty of each other cultures and diversity.

Solemn Closing of the Camp was attended by: Member of the Parliament of Georgia Tamaz Avdalian, Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia Rati Bregadze, Head of the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry Nugzar Kandelaki, Vice-President of the Eurasian Jewish Congress Iosif Zisels, Coordinator of the Council of National Minorities attached to the Ombudsman’s Office Bela Osipova, anchor of the Public Broadcaster of Georgia Giorgi Gugushvili and Executive Director of the Analytical Center for Interethnic Cooperation and Consultations Agit Mirzoev.
