Berdichev joined the Action Weeks Against Racism in Europe

Action Weeks Against Racism, which annually FARE network initiated under the auspices of UEFA, first time passed in Berdichev.

November the 1th, 2013 the presentation of the project «Football Against Racism» and the information brochure "Football Against Racism» were held. Representatives of local authorities, sports coaches and physical education teachers met with the project “Football Against Racism” and discussed the prospects of sport as a means of tolerance adolescents.

November the 3th, 2013 more than 30 pupils of Berdichev Soccer School and guests of Kyiv - Kyiv Tolerance club members, including refugees, played a friendly football tournament. Players were grouped into teams so that in each of them were representatives of different nations. There were two semi-finals and finals. The winner of the tournament decided by penalties, but athletic result was not the main thing. The main thing - the participants and organizers of the tournament expressed their citizenship – “We are against racism!”

Berdichev joined the Action Weeks Against Racism first time and was one of many cities in Europe in which there have been different actions against racism.

The «Football Against Racism : Playing together for tolerance and respect» made by Congress of National Communities of Ukraine and Kyiv Education Center "TolerSpace» with the support of network FARE ( Football Against Racism in Europe).

The project organizers are grateful Charitable Foundation of Angelica Labunskaya “LAV” for granted for a game football hall, Berdichev municipal authorities for assistance in conducting activities and the Central City Library.
